WORKING TOGETHER TO ADVANCE SPACE DEVELOPMENT

ICE HARVESTING
WORKING GROUP (IceWG)

ABOUT:
The Ice Harvester Working Group (IceWG) seeks to describe and illustrate what a telerobotic Ice Harvester would look like and how it would operate.

OBJECTIVES:
   - Update the Ice Harvester page.
   - Develop a design and concept of operations for the telerobotic harvesting and processing of lunar polar ice into propellant and other volatile resources.
   - Develop an illustrative scale model of a telerobotic Ice Harvester.
   - Develop a working scale model of a telerobotic Ice Harvester and, if possible, demonstrate its operations in laboratory environments similar to that in permanently-shadowed craters and the poles of the Moon.
   - Write up articles in the popular space press (e.g. The Space Review) on the topic.
   - Write up more formal (e.g. scientific) papers on the topic.
